Favourite ice-cream flavour: Chocolate- it’s the best!

Wrap up in the shortest sentence possible what your role means.

I lead and manage the process of delivering software products; as well as provide coaching and mentoring to various individuals and teams on how to become more agile & deliver value more effectively.

What is the interesting / challenging part of your work?

Helping people and businesses achieve their goals.

It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’ve been able to impact positive change in organisations and individuals

What attracted you to choose a STEM field?

The realisation that there are so many career paths to choose from.

You can become an architect, a software developer, a business analyst, a scrum master, a product manager, a CTO, or choose from many other career paths. Also, you do not necessarily have to have come from a technical background in order to get into the STEM field. I certainly didn’t.

What is your biggest achievement that you are most proud of? How do you track and express your achievements in the workplace and beyond?

My biggest accomplishment to date is publishing my book – Taking Action, the Busy Entrepreneur’s Guide To Mastering Time Management and Setting Smart Goals. (Check out the book here! ✨)

It has always been a dream of mine to write a book and I’m proud of myself for taking the leap.

Who are your mentors or role models that helped you either directly or indirectly?

My parents are my role models. They taught me to be ambitious and hardworking. Whereas, my mentor is Liz Parnell – she’s an all rounder lovely woman and has been such a positive influence with regards to my career progression.

How do you think women can be game-changers in time of crisis?

By stepping up to help where possible and not letting people’s opinions or perception prevent you from doing what you can to help others.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as a leader? Are there any technology resources that you would recommend?

I read a lot! Aside from reading for pleasure, I read to expand my knowledge on different areas that relate to my field (and beyond).

For anyone looking to go into the field of Agile Project management, I highly recommend Scrum.org and Scrum Alliance as good starting points to gain a solid foundation; particularly if you are interested in Scrum.

It’s your day off. What do you do to relax?

Read! I love reading, especially romantic comedies and I relish the chance to put my feet up and snuggle up with a good book when I get the chance. 📚

What advice would you give to your 21 year old self?

It’s totally okay not to have it all completely figured out right now. Go easy on yourself. It’s all going to work out in the end.

What makes you RARE?

My eyes, I guess. I’ve been told many times that I have quite unique eyes ☺️
